ABOUT US
Fast Touch is a community based competition that has serviced the Gold Coast district over the past ten years and caters for all levels of touch standard. FTR is a proud member of the Mudgeeraba District Sports Association, the National Touch Rugby Association and the International Premier Touch Rugby Leagues. Fast Touch is a non profit organisation and a member of the ITRB, NTRA and UK Premier Rugby League. FTR is proud to develop the sport of Touch Rugby and FTR Mudgeeraba is one of the most established competitions on the Gold Coast, servicing the district for more than 10 years. In 2010 FTR will be announcing new venues throughout QLD & NSW to further develop the sport.

Keen to play Fast Touch in our Touch Leagues on the Gold Coast? FTR will host its 2010 Touch leagues at Mudgeeraba with competitions on Monday & Wednesday nights. The leagues normally run for 14 weeks at Firth Park, Mudgeeraba and will host mens, mixed, womans & masters leagues on demand. Representative leagues are available for both experienced and social players throughout the year. All our venues have FTR / NTRA accredited referees and NTRA coaching programs to ensure players get the best Touch Rugby experience. Register your team in one of competitions now & secure a draw allocation and jion the Gold Coast best touch league.
2010 FEATURE EVENT
In 2010 FTR Gold Coast will host some very special Touch Rugby events. On May 8 & 9 we host the Touch component in the first leg of The Saltwater Festival at Salt Resort on the Tweed Coast. On the weekend of October 16th & 17th we will present the National Touch Rugby World Cup. Teams from around the world will represent their country in a bid to be crowned World Touch Rugby champions. The Aussie teams will also take on the Kiwis in the Trans Tasman Cup. There will be some great Touch Rugby at both of these events and they are just a part of a huge year in Touch Rugby with Fast Touch. See Touch events tab for more info......

RULE OF THE WEEK
RULE: 3. The TAP OFF
The attacking team must start with a tap from the middle of the field.
The defending team must be back 10m for the start of play.
At the start of play or after a team scores, play begins again with a tap in the middle o the field [referee sets the mark]
The person who takes the tap must place the ball on the ground, tap the ball with their foot [in any direction less than 1 meter] before picking up the ball.
The defending team can not move forward [past the 10 m mark] until the ball has been tapped.
