POOR SPORTSMANSHIP IS NOT ALLOWED AT FAST TOUCH VENUES AND FTF MANAGEMENT SUPORTS A POLICY OF NO BACK CHAT OR FOUL PLAY AT ALL FTF VENUES & CARNIVALS.
Referees are reminded to always communicate this policy clearly to team captains prior to tap off. If referees have any questions regarding FTF policy or rules please contact your nightly co coordinator for clarification. FTF is a foundation sport of Rugby Union and some of our playing rules are code specific. We at all times encourage referees to learn and develop as referees, the FTF rule book is available by clicking the link on the QUICK RULES page tab and the full rules link at the bottom of the page. It is your responsibility as a referee to always be aware of the following:
- Know all Fast Touch contact phone numbers, email address, web site info etc
- Check web site for changes to times, draws and competition details
- Be aware of their game times prior to the round
- To be on time and at venue 10 minutes before games
- Be in full uniform - shirts - shorts - whistle - pen/pencil - copy of Fast Touch score card - rule book
- Be aware of any Fast Touch rule changes or venue notices prior to play
- Referee's are to make sure that fields are marked with cones and protective equipment
- That all pre game checks and player inspections are done prior to play
- That all team captains are briefed prior to play
- That all player questions are answered before tap off
- Start on time when hooter is sounded
- Apply the rules of the game in a professional and consistent and impartial manner at all times
- Mark score cards clearly
- Provide written information of send off's, on field incidents, disputes and player injury
- Get team captains to sign off score cards at the end of play
- Hand in score cards and on field reports to administration after each game
- To keep players and spectators within the competition code of conduct and terms at all times to the best of their ability
