This year FT have the pleasure to announce some great Touch Rugby events with our national affiliate NTRA. FT have put together some innovative Touch events to increase your Touch Rugby experience. All our events have a huge emphases on fun and social activity all while playing the best sport in the world FAST TOUCH RUGBY.

2010 FEATURE EVENTS
THE QLD STATE SELECTION TRIALS
The 2nd of our NTRA Queensland State selection trials will be conducted at Brisbane on Sunday March 21st. The first selection trial program was postponed due to wet weather and the NTRA are now conducting selection trials with players that were short listed in Open Women, Open Men, Open Mix and Master Mix & Men. Any Fast Touch players that made the short list (posted at venue) who are interested in playing should contact administration on 0433 822 661 for details. The weekend trial will see Qld State selectors picking squads for the upcoming State of Origin series (June 25th & 26th).

SALTWATER FESTIVAL
FTF will Join the SWF team and host the Touch Rugby tournament of The Saltwater Festival at Salt Resort on May 8th & 9th. This new and exciting series is a celebration of the world’s oceans and waterways and will feature a huge variety of sports and festival entertainment. This event will be one of the classic touch footy weekends and its right on our door step at Salt Resort Kingscliff.
The SWF event features Surf Paddle Craft, Stand up Paddle Boards, Surf Boats, Thunder cat Inflatable Boat racing, Beach Volley Ball, Beach Touch Football, Beach Flags, Beach Sprints & Kids adventure races.
Feature music from local artists, trade fair, arts markets, corporate entertainment, signature foods by Steve Snow and much more. Great prizes, great fun, great beach touch and accommodation at a 5 star resort this is the event of the year. World champion athletes as form all surf disciplines will be competing for the honour of being crowned the Ocean Ironman.
Discounted accommodation packages are also available for competing teams at Mantra resort.

INTERNATIONAL TOUCH RUGBY 2010 WORLD CUP & NTRA TRANS TASMAN
Fast Touch Gold Coast in association with our national affiliate body the National Touch Rugby Association will host this year’s ITRB World Cup on the Gold Coast. Teams from across Australia, New Guinea, New Zealand, Asia and the UK will fly into the Gold Coast to compete in this prestigious event.
The NTRA Trans Tasman series will also be contested over the weekend with the Kiwi’s and the Aussie national squads taking on each other. The Kiwi’s are the current ITRB World and Tran’s Tasman champs.
There will be a feature musical artist performing on the Saturday night at the presentation and awards night. The Fast Touch celebrity touch rugby team will also take on the NTRA combined rep squad in an exhibition match to raise funds for the Gold Coast Children’s ward.
